Are you in pain when when you run? Are you looking to get into running and want a solid foundation to get started? Are you a seasoned pro and looking to shave off that extra few minutes off your PB? No matter what level of a runner you are, it is always a good idea for someone to analyze your mechanics and make sure that you are running as efficiently as possible. Not only will this help to decrease the frequency of injuries when running, but it can also make you a faster runner! Common running related injuries that can be helped with biomechanical analysis include shin splits, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis, hamstring strains, patellar tendonopathy, IT band syndrome and more.

Dr. Steven Murray can work with you to correct some of the common mistakes that runners make and see any muscle weaknesses or poor motor patterns that may be present in your running stride using a video analysis system. He can then integrate this information into a treatment and exercise program for you to correct these imbalances. Using video analysis not only allows for correction of your running mechanics, but it will also give you a visual representation of what to look out for and work on during your next run.

Some of the aspects of your stride that will be analyzed include foot and ankle mechanics through the landing phase, stride length and frequency, knee and hip mechanics, gait asymmetries, arm swing patterns and more!
